Refund & Cancellation Policy
UTICOS LLC · Version 1.3 · Last updated: 19 October 2026
This page explains what you pay for in UTICOS, what you can do when an asset is not right, and how refunds are decided. It sits alongside section 3 of our Terms of Service.
You pay only for what is delivered
- Everything you make in UTICOS is priced in COS, and the price is shown before you make it.
- COS is deducted when the asset is delivered.
- If a job fails and delivers nothing, the COS reserved for it is released back to your balance automatically. This is not a refund: nothing was charged.
Another version
- If an asset is not right, choose Another version under it. You can tick what is wrong, and the new version keeps the same idea and fixes only what you ticked. If you tick nothing, you get a fresh version.
- Each version is priced and charged as a new asset, and its price is shown before you make it.
- A post can have up to 3 versions: the first one and two more.
Report a problem
- Report a problem appears under a post once its third version is made. You tick what is wrong (the same list as Another version) and can add a short note; the post and the version are already named. You can also write to technical@uticos.com about any asset.
- Report a problem within 14 days of the asset's delivery. We reply within 5 business days, and the post shows the report's status: under review, refunded, or reviewed with our reason.
- A person at UTICOS reviews every report. Nothing is ever refunded automatically: any refund is decided by that person after the review.
- A problem we confirm is refunded as COS back to your balance.
Unused COS
- Free trial: when the trial ends, its unused COS expire.
- Monthly plan: each paid month adds the plan's monthly COS. They expire at the end of that month and do not carry over to the next one.
- Top-ups: top-up COS last 90 days from purchase and do not reset at renewal. COS that expire soonest are used first, so the month's plan COS are used before top-ups, and top-ups oldest first. Top-ups stay usable until they expire, even if your plan ends.
Top-ups
- Top-ups are for accounts on the monthly plan, in three fixed packs shown in the app (currently 500 COS for US$59, 1,000 COS for US$115 and 1,500 COS for US$169). Each costs a little more per COS than the plan.
- The COS are added when the payment is confirmed, and you receive a receipt by email.
- Top-ups are not refunded to your card, except where the law requires it. A problem with an asset made with them is handled like any other: Report a problem, and a confirmed problem is refunded as COS.
Cancelling your plan
- Open Business profile → Plan & COS and choose Manage plan. It opens the customer portal of our payment provider, Stripe, where you can cancel, change your card and see your invoices.
- The cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. There is no proration.
- Until that date your monthly COS stay usable. Then the plan ends and does not renew.
Refunds to your card
Payments already made, and COS already used, are not refunded to your card, except where the law requires it, as section 3.7 of our Terms of Service provides.
